Hey everyone…
This summer has been incredible so far. It’s been full of many surprises that I never thought would come my way!
First of all, I was able to spend a week with my family when they drove down from Brandon, Manitoba to visit me in Nashville. It was a great time of catching up and showing them what Nashville has to offer. We also drove down to Louisville, KY to go to Six Flags (a huge amusement park) and then to Memphis, TN to visit Graceland (probably one of the coolest things I’ve seen). Because I don’t see my family very often these days, I really treasure every moment that we have together. It was a really great time…
This past month has also been exciting in my music. I recently became involved with a company called Trans-Siberian Orchestra. They invited me to be apart of the new CD that they are working on…because of that, I’ve been traveling a lot to Tampa Bay, FL and also to New York. I just finished recording my part of the album on Friday. It was an amazing experience with a new vocal challenge for me. Something very different than anything else I’ve ever done…it was really cool to experiment with my voice and try something new. If the Trans-Siberian Orchestra comes to your town, I really encourage you to check them out, it’ll be like nothing you’ve ever seen!
I’m now back in Nashville focusing on writing again. I am really excited about the co-writers that I’ve been able to work with over the last couple of months. I hooked up with a fellow Canadian, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, and we spent an afternoon writing together. I’m really excited about the song that we came up with. I was also able to write with Tony Wood who has a couple of songs on the top 10 Christian radio charts right now. It’s been really amazing the doors that God has opened for me and I’m encouraged about everything that is happening…
